The Vocational Training Council (VTC) in Hong Kong and the University of Lincoln have a strong and growing partnership which was first established in 2014. Since then, the University has supported the development of the portfolio of programmes delivered by the VTC in Hong Kong. The initial suite of programmes focused on the subjects of Architecture and Design. Programmes are delivered in partnership with the Hong Kong Design Institute with part of the curriculum being delivered by flying faculty from the Lincoln School of Architecture and the Built Environment and the Lincoln School of Design.
Links have also been forged with other member institutions of the VTC including the Technological and Higher Education Institute (THEI), the Youth College (International) and the Institute for Vocational Education. Student mobilities and joint projects are established features of this collaboration.
Senior Leaders from the VTC and the University have collaborated together to develop new strategy in vocational learning and have been advising their respective governmental ministries on policy in this important area.
